An essential time-saving component of the full SonaSafe® solution, the SonaSafe® Dashboard is a traffic management tool that helps you track incidents and collate information that’s easily retrievable for health and safety investigations. SonaSafe® PDU (Personal Detector Units) are the sensors connected to the employee or vehicle using them, so they are traceable to the event or employee involved in any incident.
The SonaSafe® Dashboard assists you with health and safety, providing comprehensive reporting, easing your compliance burden and verifying the safety processes you already have in place.
Health and Safety Reporting – Dashboard
The SonaSafe® Dashboard is a web-based application and traffic management tool that gathers all SonaSafe® information from connected machines. It provides us with a snapshot of the status of your systems in terms of their built-in test, helping us verify the system functionality.
How can I use data from the SonaSafe® Dashboard to verify my health and safety procedures?
Health and safety compliance is an essential task within any potentially high risk, busy industry. When processes and procedures are written, it’s important to be able to measure and verify them to your country’s health and safety regulator (in New Zealand that’s WorkSafe, in Australia it’s Safe Work). If WorkSafe or Safe Work carry out an investigation, SonaSafe® Dashboard data will help you prove that the relevance of the documentation matches the reality. Have questions? Contact us.
For example, if a crew member wearing a PDU comes near a vehicle, this incident is time stamped and stored at a rate up to five times per second (nominally once per second) to a depth of 20 days. This information can be retrieved manually, transmitted over a two-way radio link or transferred to a remote database via the internet for analysis.
Seven key ways to use the SonaSafe® Dashboard for health and safety reporting:
- Use it to keep track of the number of exclusion zone/’no go’ area breaches
- Determine whether staff are following safe processes near machines
- Use the data to measure the effectiveness of your current health and safety procedures
- Test a new procedure by finding out “number of incidents before and then after”
- Identify hot spots of potentially dangerous risk areas
- Measure and monitor your crew during different shifts and times of day
- Generate monthly management reports.

Can I get information in real time from the SonaSafe® Dashboard?
The innovative SonaSafe® system allows the user to zoom in on any area and monitor finer details, such as people breaching the vehicle exclusion zone or tracking the movement of specific vehicles.
Who gets information from the SonaSafe® Dashboard?
As a traffic management tool, the SonaSafe® Dashboard can be set to send regular statistical information to whoever you designate as company managers.
The ability to have local and/or remote monitoring of information such as ‘near miss’ statistical feedback to improve operational efficiencies, verify the effectiveness of your current health and safety procedures and make compliance easy, saves you time, energy and money.
