Managing a fleet of forklifts? Concerned about forklift vs pedestrian interaction?
Reduce near misses, incidents in high hazard areas and reduce collisions of all kinds with an effective SonaSafe® proximity warning solution tailored to your workplace environment.
With careful planning and an effective area proximity warning system, collisions are reduced. While increasingly complex workplace environments need extensive health and safety procedures and systems in place to reduce risk to crew, reduce incidents and promote safe behaviour, SonaSafe® makes things easy.
Reduce the risk with a proximity alert
SonaSafe® reduces the risk of vehicle collisions and near misses by effectively warning pedestrians, drivers and all crew of their proximity to harm, before a collision has time to play out. A loud human voice warning alerts the driver of mobile plant like forklifts, cranes and other moving machinery to take corrective action.
SonaSafe®’s proven, innovative sonar technology offers you effective proximity detector solutions. They’re easy to use, reduce risk to your staff and work 24 hours a day. Plus, the SonaSafe® Dashboard tracks incidents, reports statistics, collates information and makes your health and safety compliance burden far lighter. Want to try a collision reduction system that really works?
How SonaSafe® works to reduce collisions
1. People near Mobile Plant (forklift)
If, for example, we set up the SonaSafe® collision reduction system to protect pedestrians within a 12 metre radius of a forklift, when a person comes within the danger zone of the machine, the driver gets an audible voice message stop: “STOP CREW”. Since each PDU is unique, the address of that PDU can be named (for example as TOM), so that it shows up on the Dashboard as an alert: STOP TOM.
2. Mobile Plant near Mobile Plant
We can also set up collision reduction to recognise other vehicles in the vicinity. The vehicle drivers get a warning when their vehicles come within the footprint of each other. We can set that footprint to a designated radius.
3. Reverse Warning Option
An essential warning for drivers maneuvering in any workplace space. Vehicles can be set up to provide a specialised ‘reverse on large object’ warning, differentiated from people by an alternative audible tone. Distance can be set up to four metres from the rear of the vehicle.
